On the evening of December 30, 2016, Fanwood Mayor visited DIMCNJ. The monks and temple staffs gave a warm welcome and gave a gift basket to the mayor. The representative of the temple said thank you to the mayor for the visit and the temple felt that Fanwood is lucky because the mayor is smart, can develop the city well, and gives precedence to meditation. The mayor mentioned that “We have brought good thing into Fanwood which is meditation. Fanwood is a small city and few people know. One day in the future, people would say that they want to meditate in Fanwood and Fanwood will become more famous. Our places include a mediation park where it is very attractive in spring and summer. We also cooperate with YMCA about the youth mental health and participate in the organization relation meeting every month. We can say that we make benefit to Fanwood.” The mayor also advised us to introduce meditation at Senior Center and he would tell his secretary to make contact with them.
