Durham Professor meditate at Buddhist Meditation Center, Newcastle, England

On Sunday 18 February 2018, Prof. Catherine Alexander who teaches at Durham University, England, joined the basic meditation class for locals and visited Wat Phra Dhammakaya Newcastle. Prof. Catherine said that she’d heard about meditation 30 years ago and thought she would try it once until today she did it.

She revealed that the meditation made her peaceful and it was a wonderful moment.  Furthermore, she was interested in steps by which the teaching monk taught and could do it well.

When she went to the Main Buddhist Chapel, she gave the compliment that it is very beautiful though it was very old as it was built in 1873; however, the renovation with different colored glass to present the 7 bases of the bodies makes it very beautiful and impressive to visitors.
