Buddhist Symposium, Washington D.C., USA

A group of over 30 teachers from Prince William County Public Schools participated in a symposium on the topic of Buddhism at the  Meditation Center of D.C. (M.D.C.) on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 The symposium began with a welcoming speech from Venerable  Phrakhru Chanchai Piyavacako, the abbot, of the Meditation Center of D.C. (M.D.C.).

Venerable Klint introduced and shared knowledge about Buddhism.

 

Teachers received an opportunity to offer alms in the morning alms round and offered meals to the monks. In the afternoon, Venerable Klint introduced and led an hour of meditation to the participants.

 

The event concluded with a question and answer session. Teachers shared that this was an impressive new experience.
