The Lecture on the topic of Buddhism in Thailand and Theravada Meditation practice

On Tuesday October 13rd, 2015 Professors Watanabe Shogo from Toyo University invited Venerable Doctor Chattapong Katapunyo from Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tokyo, to give a lecture on the topic of Buddhism in Thailand and Theravada Meditation practice to 100 university students studying in the faculty of arts, Eastern Philosophy Department at Tokyo University.

The Venerable described the importance of Buddhism, the Monastic life and various meditation practices in Thailand. At the end of the lecture, the teaching monks kindly led everyone in meditation in the technique of Luang Pu Watpaknum Basijareon. The session was followed by Q&A. Many participants who were interested in learning more about Buddhism and meditation lifted their hands to ask for more knowledge. Many participates had a good experience and felt relaxed. Many of them were impressed and wanted to meditate at the temple again for future sessions.
