
On 13 April 2026, Most Venerable Phrapromdilok, abbot of Wat Sam Phraya, visited Wat Phra Dhammakaya as a venue for the second Pali test of the monastic community under the supervision of the Monastic Region 1 (Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samutprakarn provinces) at Kaew-Sa-Ra-Phad-Nuek 2 Meeting Hall, Wat Phra Dhammakaya. There were 544 monks and 143 laypeople, taking the test of Pali level 1-2/3/4 during 12-14 April 2026.
The senior monks including Most Venerable Phradhamrattanaporn, advisor to the ecclesiastical chief of Monastic Region 1 and abbot of Wat Khian Khet (a royal temple), Most Venerable Phrathepwachirananthaporn, the ecclesiastical chief of Nonthaburi province and abbot of Wat Bua Khwan and Most Venerable Phraratsuthidhammajarn, the ecclesiastical chief of Pathum Thani province and abbot of Wat Phrayoondhammaram, visited the test venue and gave encouragement to all examinees.
Accompanied by Venerable Phramaha Suwit Dhammikkamuni (Pali scholar of level 9), headmaster of Religious Department of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Venerable Phrakhrupaladrattanaveerawat, abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, vice chairman of the Test Venue Committee and advisor to the ecclesiastical chief of Region 1, welcomed all senior monks, reported detailed information of this test arrangement and facilitated the visit of all managerial monks.
The Pali test is deemed the evaluation criteria of advanced Buddhist knowledge for the monastic community. According to His Royal Highness Prince Damrong Rajanubhab, the test of Dhamma Studies for the monastic community is considered a task of state administration under the patronage of Thai king.
