Celebrating the birthday anniversary of the Queen Mother at Wat Phra Dhammakaya

On 12 August 2026, at Plook Sattha 2 Building of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Khlong Luang District Chief Apisra Ket-In presided over the merit-making and almsgiving ceremonies on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the Queen Mother to commemorate Her Majesty’s contributions to the country. In this event, Venerable Phrakhruvijit Ar-Pha-Korn, ecclesiastical chief of Khlong Luang district and abbot of Wat Sawangphop, was the monastic chairman.

This event was attended by Mr. Ong-Ard Not Dhamma-Nitra, advisor to Provincial Red Cross Chapter of Pathum Thani, together with the local government officials, managerial staff of educational institutions, police, deputy district chief, subdistrict doctors, subdistrict headmen, village headmen and laypeople of Wat Phra Dhammakaya.

Venerable Phrakhrupaladrattanaveerawat, advisor to the ecclesiastical chief of Pathum Thani province and abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, led all attendees in the meditation practice to dedicate merit to the Queen Mother.

This event represents the gratitude of the public to the Queen Mother for Her Majesty’s contributions for the benefit of Thai people, especially the conservation of natural resources and the environment, the preservation of Thai art, culture, and wisdom, as well as the patronage of Buddhism and other religions.

The Cabinet designated August 12 of every year as the birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother and National Mother’s Day, allowing Thai people to commemorate Her Majesty’s lifelong dedication to the country and all Thai citizens.
