The “Rommai Haeng Dham” Project

Wat Phra Dhammakaya carried out the “Rommai Haeng Dham” project, focusing on cultivating a volunteer mindset and environmental awareness for the youth. An activity under this project involves tree planting to increase the green areas in Nakhon Pathom province on August 12. It was the third time that this activity was organized and attended by 180 students from 17 educational institutions.

On 12 August 2026, at Khlong Bang Nang Taen Memorial Place of Phramongkolthepmuni in Nakhon Pathom province, Venerable Phramaha Nopporn Punyachayo, Ph.D. (Pali scholar of level 9), assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya related that the Arsa Pha Samret club of Wat Phra Dhammakaya organized a tree planting activity in honor of the Queen Mother under the “Rommai Haeng Dham” project. This activity was participated by 180 students from 17 educational institutions, community leaders, local residents, monastic community and officials from local government organizations.

The activity was led by Venerable Theeraphat Yanphattho, head of Arsa Pha Samret club, Venerable Phrasamu U-Krit Promwangso, head of Khlong Bang Nang Taen Memorial Place and Mr. Worawut Soi-Thong, president of Hom-Kred Subdistrict Administrative Organization.

Before the tree planting, the assigned staff demonstrated the process of planting trees and the use of planting equipment. Then they arranged all attendees into 5 groups for the activities of digging holes, planting trees, filling in the soil, and landscaping the surrounding area. All volunteers were closely guided by the trained staff.

The “Rommai Haeng Dham” project not only represents the public’s loyalty to the Queen Mother but also cultivates a volunteer mindset and environmental awareness in youth through the hand-on activities, helping them realize the value of natural resource conservation and community involvement.
