The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and the Buddhism Support Center of Thailand support to organize the Week of Buddhism since Vesak Day. Group captain Anudit Nakorntab, The Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) said that he has collaborated with the Buddhism Support Center of Thailand to hold the Week of Buddhism since Vesak Day, the International Day. This event is being arranged at Sanam Luang on 18th – 24th of May, 2013. The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology assigned the Software Industry Promotion Agency and TOT public company to prepare moral quiz game through the information system and free wifi throughout the event.
Meanwhile, they have propagated Buddhism broadly through the information technology in order to support and activate people, especially children and youths, to be interested in Buddhism, understand in Dhamma and religious teachings through many kinds of technology presentation together with launching www.vesakha.org officially. This website will be a channel to propagate the knowledge of Vesak Day to the youths who are interested in technology in order to access the content of Buddhism easier and wider.
