On 26 September 2026, at Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Ms. Apisra Ket-In, Khlong Luang district chief, visited Wat Phra Dhammakaya to survey its parking buildings, which are being used to shelter vehicles for flood victims in Pathum Thani province. This followed the heavy rain that caused a flood in Khlong Luang district and nearby areas. Venerable Phrakhrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of Communication Department and assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, along with Mr. Ong-Ard Not Dhamma-Nitra, a representative of Wat Phra Dhammakaya’s disciples and Ms. Supaporn Wannamethee, Khlong Luang deputy district chief, accompanied her to oversee the parking space arrangement for the public.
Wat Phra Dhammakaya provided the parking space of Multi-Storey Parking Building 1-4 to support the flood victims free of charge. Currently, over 7,000 vehicles are parked in these buildings and the temple can arrange more parking space for the increasing number of vehicles. Additionally, the temple also prepares snacks & drinks and tram service to the main road at no cost.
Venerable Phrakhrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso related that Wat Phra Dhammakaya was aware of the hardships, faced by the affected people after the heavy rain caused a flood in Khlong Luang district and nearby areas in Pathum Thani province. As the affected residents sought higher ground for their vehicles, the temple provided elevated parking space free of charge. However, the car owners were requested to follow the parking regulations/instructions to ease the operation of staff and ensure the safety of their vehicles during the crisis.
