Wat Phra Dhammakaya distributed 4,100 relief supply bags for the affected people after the flood in in Pathum Thani and nearby provinces

On 27 September 2026, at the 71st Anniversary Kitchen Building of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Venerable Phrakhrupaladrattanaveerawat, advisor to ecclesiastical chief of Pathum Thani province and abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, offered 1,800 relief supply bags to relieve the suffering of Khlong Luang residents after the heavy rain caused a flood, inundating their residential areas near Wat Phra Dhammakaya.

Assigned by the abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Venerable Phrakhrubhavanadhamvithes-assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, together with Venerable Phramaha Nopporn Punyachayo-assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Venerable Phrakhrusamu Somchai Wangsatheero-a representative of Dhammakaya Foundation and Mr. Ong-Ard Not Dhamma-Nitra-a representative of Wat Phra Dhammakaya’s disciples presented 1,800 relief supply bags to local administrative organizations including Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization, Khlong Luang Town Municipality, Tha Khlong Town Municipality, Khlong Sam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Khlong Si Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Khlong Ha Subdistrict Administrative Organization,  Khlong Hok Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Khlong Chet Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Rangsit City Municipality and Khlong Luang District Administration under Khlong Luang District Office . These relief supply bags would be distributed to the affected residents and vulnerable groups. Ms. Apisra Ket-In, Khlong Luang district chief, also joined the group to visit the inundated areas in order to support the working of local government officials and help relieve the hardships of the affected people.

In addition to 1,800 relief supply bags, delivered to the affected people in Pathum Thani province, the temple also distributed 1,200 bags to Prachinburi province, 500 bags to Sa-Kaeo province, 300 bags to Saraburi province and 300 bags to Nakhon Nayok province. A total of 4,100 relief supply bags were distributed to flood victims across Pathum Thani and its neighboring provinces.

For this crisis, the Public Assistance Committee of Wat Phra Dhammakaya requested volunteers to pack relief supply bags urgently in order to deliver them to the affected people in time. Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation have continuously supported not only the Buddhist temples but also the people in need especially during the crisis. They have greatly contributed to the well-being of local residents in nearby communities.
