On 11 May 2025, the ceremonies to purify the land and to spread the flower petals and precious stones were organized to establish Borobudur Inner Peace Sanctuary, Indonesia. Most Venerable Phrakhrusukhonkhunvithes (Somchai Sukhantho), abbot of Dhammakaya Meditation Center of Indonesia and associate president of the Union of Thai Dhammadhuta in Indonesia-Africa, was the monastic chairman and Mr. Sombat Pimsorn, inspector of National Office of Buddhism, was the laypeople chairman. This event was attended by Most Venerable Phrakhrusutrattanabandit, Ph.D., chancellor of Dhammaduta College, monastic representatives from the Council of Thai Bhikkhus in the USA, the monks from Thailand and Indonesia and over 500 local Indonesian residents.
