Arranging the Morning Alms Round to 556 Monks to welcome freshmen
The Buddhist Society, Custom, Tradition and Culture Club of Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University arranged the Morning Alms Round to 556 monks to welcome over 5,000 freshmen 2013. The Most Ven. Phrarajdhammakosol, Ecclesiastical Province Governor of Ubon Ratchathani province, kindly accepted to be the Monastic President. Assist. Prof. Prachoom Phongphan, President of Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, was the Laity President.
Professors, lecturers and students were very happy
The atmosphere was very good. Even though it rained during the ceremony, everybody was calm and came to offer alms happily together. It is a good way to keep Buddhism and restore this culture to be the social value in the students’ mind further.
