The Meditation Village in Japan arranged a meditation retreat for locals.

During June 26-28, 2015, Wat phra Dhammakaya Gumma, Japan, arranged a meditation retreat for locals. This meditation retreat was well participated by a group of 10 Japanese college students and 1 teacher, under the persuasion of Ven. Phramaha Pongsak Dhaniyo. This activity was a part of Buddhism in the World course. Not only those students and the teacher, there were also another 2 locals who participated in this retreat, which made a total number of 13 participants. Ven. Phramaha Chattapong Katapunyo educated them about meditation. Besides practicing meditation, the participants also attended the alms offering ceremony to learn about Buddhist cultures and went on a field trip to Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tokyo and Wat Paknam Japan as well.

Every participant had good meditation experiences, felt relaxed, and some participants could feel the brightness inside. All of them understood more about meditation and intended to practice meditation continuously. They also agreed to come back to meditate at the meditation village of Wat Phra Dhammakaya Gumma one more time.
