The Dattajeevo Maha Cetiya is being constructed with the contemporary Buddhist style and its shape similar to that of a lotus which is recognized as a symbol of the establishment of Buddhism and the enlightenment of Lord Buddha. The Cetiya is around 15 meters in height. It is located in the same land as the Kanchanaburi Youth Training Center which will be used for the moral training and meditation practice of monks, novices, laymen and youths who live in Kanchanaburi and nearby provinces.

Dattajeevo Maha Cetiya was established with the purpose of expressing gratitude to the master which is in accordance with one of the 38 Highest Blessings in Life – that is to offer respect to people worthy of respect. The cetiya’s purpose was also to announce the great contributions of Venerable Phrarajbhavanajarn (Luang Por Dattajeevo) – one of the Great Masters who put all his life-effort into establishing Wat Phra Dhammakaya from the beginning. Luang Por Dattajeevo has taught, elaborated, and reviewed Dhamma (Buddhist teachings) since the first Dhammadaya Programme up to the present day; has been present to guide, help and support monks, novices, laymen, laywomen and people in general; and has supervised over 130 branches of Wat Phra Dhammakaya within the country and all over the world.
