‘At the first step, Luangpor Dhammajayo sent 10 teaching monks and temple officers to Dawei and set up a cooperative office in collaboration with the Venerable Intayana, a senior monk in Dawei, to provide urgent support to the affected villagers. It is hoped that the commodities dispatched can alleviate their suffering more or less and we will continue to help them until the situation there gets better. Everyone can offer help and contributions to the afflicted at the Dhammakaya Foundation’s headquarter office at Klong Sam Sub-district, Klong-Luang District, Pathum-thani Province, Thailand or call 02-831-100’, Phra Sanitwong stated.

A fire had broken out at O-lobin Village yesterday (April 30th 2015), damaging over 70 houses. Most of the residing villagers live in large families and near each other. The fire thus affected over 1,000 people.  Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
