In this event, an almshouse for the earthquake victims was open, and a merit-dedicating ceremony for the deceased was performed. Also, everybody requested and accepted precepts, listened to Dhamma sermons and chanting performed by monks, and meditated together in a holy and peaceful environment. Some people who lost their family members felt so touched they cried, but everybody was happy with the presence of the monks who gave them chanting and blessings to support them to overcome the deep feelings of grief and loss in this difficult time. This relief center of the Dhammakaya Foundation has many Thai and Nepalese volunteers to serve the earthquake victims.
