Any form of assistance or support must be given to the right person, in the form of what they truly lack, and in a manner that is appropriate to their needs. The giving should be such that the recipient is able to build upon it further, rather than letting it go to waste — in the spirit of the saying: if you give someone rice, it will last only a few meals before it runs out; but if you teach them how to grow rice, they will have food for the rest of their life. Alternatively, if they already know how to grow rice but simply lack the seeds, then promptly providing them with the seeds is all that is needed, and things will naturally improve from there.
