Because we have consistently shown kindness and generosity toward others, whenever someone comes to cause us trouble, friends will step in to offer their assistance, helping to defuse and ease the situation. This leads to the valuable lesson that wherever we go and whatever we do, if we have gotten along well with others, things will go well for us — but if we have not, it will be difficult for things to go our way.
