History of Buddhism in Archaeological Perspectives

Dhammachai International Research Institute of Australia and New Zealand (DIRI) and its network organizations had organized a seminar about “Archaeological Perspectives on History of Buddhism & Recent Research on Dhammakaya and Boran Meditation Traditions”, on Sunday 20th April 2014 from 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. There was an honor received from Phrakruvithetsudhammayan (Most Ven.Sudham Sudhammo) to be presided over the seminar opening. Clean the World, Clean the Mind. Earth Day 22nd April 2014

The Dhammakaya Foundation and Wat Phra Dhammakaya shared their objective to develop inner peace in the world and for all humankind on Earth Day of each year. On 22nd April 2014 (2557 B.E.) Buddhist monks and thousands of Buddhists across Thailand and all over the world gathered to meditate together and spread the inner purity arising from meditation to protect the world and to preserve peace.

In 1970, the Honorable Gaylord Nelson, a United States Senator and passionate advocate for protecting the environment, helped establish April 22nd as Earth Day, the national day for the environment. His ambitious endeavor compelled the World Federation of Buddhist Youth (WFBY) to examine methods to keep the most important human resource – our mind – pristine and to safeguard it from thought, speech or action

Meditation Class for Beginners at Wat Phra Dhammakaya Newcastle

Wat Phra Dhammakaya Newcastle has organized meditation class for beginners for 21st time on Wednesday 19th March 2014, at 19.00 p.m. (local time). There was a warm up Yoga exercise for relaxation before the meditation. Then, Venerable Pichit Thitachayo, the teaching monk, began guided meditation in English.
