Buddhist Study at Wat Phra Dhammakaya Bavaria

On Monday October 19th, 2015, from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., 30 German staff from Katholische Jugendfürsorge der Diözese Augsburg e. V., Augsburg, arranged a Personnel Meeting Day at Wat Phra Dhammakaya Bavaria, Germany to observe the temple’s activities and study Buddhism and meditation for organizational development.

Phrasomkiat Kittikhuno lectured on the differences between various sects of Buddhism in the German language.  He also explained about Theravada Buddhism, Thai tradition and Thai Monastic Practice, and Good Deeds according to Buddhist Principle such as Giving, Belief in Law of Karma, and rebirth, etc.

In addition, the teaching monk kindly answered the questions of veganism, the difference of the color of saffron robes in each Buddhist sect, etc.  There was an interesting question that if someone dies, will they be reborn as humans again?  If they are unfortunately reborn as ants, how can they do good deeds?

Finally, the teaching monk led them to meditate by visualizing the sun shining brightly in the center of their bodies and keeping their minds happy at the 7th base of the mind.  They meditated by listening to the monk’s voice and sat in stillness.  The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.
