Wat Phra Dhammakaya London arranged Tuesday Meditation Class for Beginners on Tuesday July 17, 2018. The British locals goes to meditate at the Wat Phra Dhammakaya London every week to learn about meditation.
This week, they learned how to place their minds at the center of the body. Phra Dr. Nicholas Thanissaro introduced the primary way to adjust their bodies and minds to be relaxed and free from worries.
Then, he taught them to place their minds at the 7th Base of Mind and repeat Mantra “Samma Arahang” . After that, they spent 45 minutes meditating together.
Later, the teaching monk taught dharma on the topic of “the Universal Goodness Training for Better Quality of Mind.” He gave the example of cultivating themselves to love cleanliness, orderliness, politeness, punctuality, and meditation.
He emphasized on cleanliness that if they tidy their things in their daily life regularly until it becomes a habit, this habit would improve their minds. It can also effect their meditation that when they practice the meditation, their minds would become still easily because their minds are familiar to the cleanliness.
Finally, they had Dharma Talk and the teaching monk answered their questions. The knowledge that day was useful and interested the local participants very much.
