As our society grows more and more complex, countless people throughout the world are desperately searching for inner peace. Some said that finding inner peace is like trying to find an oasis in the desert. However, the harmony in our minds can be easily created through meditating. Wat Phra Dhammakaya New Jersey was established with the hope to spread inner peace through meditation practice. On September 27th, 2017, monks and staffs arranged a “seven class series, meditation for beginners” to 18 local participants.
The class began with an introduction to meditation, described the benefits of meditation, how to meditate, and was followed by a 20 minute meditation session.
Although all participants held different jobs and occupations, they all had the same goal, to attain inner peace and true happiness. Everyone enthusiastically engaged themselves in several discussions and asked questions in regards to meditation.
