Buddhist Association, Local Buddhist Club and Wat Dhammakaya London gave a special lecture on “Nepal – the Buddhist Land” on Thursday June 22, 2017
The locals came to join the weekly meditation at the temple on that day. In addition to practicing meditation together, the participants also listened to Sylvia Steer’s special story, who visited Nepal and narrated some interesting stories about Buddhism there.
After that, Phra Prasan Samajaro led them to meditate. The teaching monk lectured on the topic of the times of life. The British feel that death is a concerning matter due to its uncertainty. The fear, however, is diminished when they know that the afterlife can be pleasant if they always do good deeds. Life after death is a common thing in life that they have to prepare themselves for.
