On 9 May 2026, Venerable Phrakhrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of Communication Department and assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya stated that a group of teachers and students visited Wat Phra Dhammakaya Italy and stayed overnight at the temple in order to join the Buddhist activities, such as chanting, meditation practice and listening to the sermon. The objective of this meditation retreat is to encourage the Thai youth and Buddhists in foreign country to learn Buddhist culture and the teachings of the Buddha.
Wat Phra Dhammakaya Italy plays an important role in propagating Buddhism in Europe by coordinating with Dhammakaya European Coordination Center, which is the center for arranging Buddhist activities and disseminating Dhammakaya meditation to both Thais and locals in Europe.
From this meditation retreat, teachers and students not only learned meditation practice and developed their mind, but also fostered self-discipline, responsibility and better relationship between teachers and students. Moreover, they can realize the value of the Buddha’s teachings that can be applied in their daily life.
