Nepali ambassador visits Wat Phra Dhammakaya for the collaboration of UG5 training program for Nepali schools and communities.

On 28 February 2025, Nepal’s Ambassador to Thailand Dhan Bahadur Oli, together with Third Secretary Aakash Adhikari, visited Wat Phra Dhammakaya and were welcomed by Venerable Phravithesdhammaporn, chairman of Dhammakaya Foundation and director of Foreign Affairs Department of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Venerable Phra (Dr.) Pornchai Palawadhammo, chairman of World Alliance of Buddhists and head of World Buddhist Organizational Networking, temple staff and students of Lumbini Buddhist University, Nepal on their educational trip to the temple.

Venerable Phravithesdhammaporn had a meeting with Nepali ambassador for the collaboration of UG5 (or 5 Universal Goodness Factors) training program for the community leaders and teachers in Nepal. The Embassy of Nepal coordinated with instructors of Dhammakaya Foundation for the arrangement of 1-week training in Thailand or Nepal and publicized the theme “Lumbini is the birthplace of the Lord Buddha” throughout the world for the better acknowledgement of Nepal. Additionally, the Embassy of Nepal will organize an event to promote this theme on 12 May 2025 or Vesak Day 2025 at Lumphini Park in Thailand and invite representatives from Dhammakaya Foundation and all Buddhists to join this event. Besides, Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli and Mr. Aakash Adhikari also visited Maha Dhammakaya Cetiya or the cetiya of 1 million Buddha statues and requested information, regarding the concept of building this cetiya and Buddhist activities of the temple.
