On Monday July 4, 2016, Phra Thanawut Tissaro from Japanese Meditation Center, Japan traveled to teach meditation at the Knowledge Exchange Center of Shiojiri city, Nagano Prefecture. The teaching monk introduced how to meditate and benefits of meditation. He set two meditation sessions; each session was 20 minutes long. After the sessions many Japanese were interested and asked for more information about Buddhism including to exchange their opinions about the difference between Buddhism and culture in Japan.
One of Japanese participants traveled from Mie Prefecture, over 250 km far away, and it is the third time for him.
The next activity will be held on August 29, 2016 at Knowledge Exchange Center of Shiojiri city and the activities begin at 1:30 p.m.
