On 25 September 2021, the monastic communities of Songkhla, Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat together with government and private sectors, local residents and Wat Phra Dhammakaya and their devotees organized the 155th necessity offering to 323 temples and dedicated its merit to the ones, passing away due to the terrorism in the four southern provinces. This year marks the 17th consecutive year that this event had been held. In this event, there was the 120th scholarship presentation to teachers in the four southern provinces. There were 73 scholarships which were categorized to 38 scholarships for teachers’ morale support and 35 scholarships for good teachers. This event was live broadcasted via Zoom from the ceremonies in 5 provinces which are Songkhla, Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat and Pathum Thani.
The necessity offering to 323 temples in the four southern provinces was held for the first time on 7June 2005 at Wat Mutjarintawapee in Pattani and has been organized for 17 consecutive years with the subsidy value of over 303 million baht. As for the scholarships provided to teachers in the four southern provinces, 39,000 scholarships with the value of over 80 million baht were presented to teachers during 14 consecutive years.
