Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Dhammakaya Foundation and the monastic community of Narathiwat organize the 163rd offering ceremony of basic necessities to 323 temples in the four southern provinces of Thailand and dedicate its merit to the victims, passing away due to the civil unrest.
On 8 July 2023, Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Dhammakaya Foundation and its devotees throughout the world, together with the monastic community of Narathivat, government and private sectors, and local residents, arranged the163rd basic necessity offering ceremony to 323 temples in the four southern provinces (Pattani, Yala, Narathivat, and the four districts of Songkla) in 2023 as the 19th year and the presentation of 180 scholarships to teachers in the South. This marked the 16th consecutive year and 128th time that the scholarship presentation has been organized. This event was hold at Mutjarintawapee Temple (a royal temple) in Pattani and live broadcasted via Zoom, Facebook Live and YouTube. A large number of Buddhists and lay people in Thailand and from abroad participated in this event online.
