Opening Ceremony of MMI, Philippines

The Middle Way Meditation Institute organized an offering ceremony to mark the opening of the 1st permanent meditation center in the Philippines on Saturday August 29th, 2015

The Middle Way Meditation Institute (MMI) organized an offering ceremony to mark the opening of the1st  permanent meditation center in Iloilo, Philippines, on Saturday August 29th , 2015 with over 40 Thai and Philippino meditation enthusiasts participating. Phravithetbhavanajarn, the vice president of America Zone, and the abbot of the Dhammakaya Temple of California, was the chief monk of the ceremony.

The ceremony began with all participants meditating together and then Mr. Sakchai Peechapat led the lay devotees in commencing the offering ceremony to open the permanent meditation center. Afterwards, Thai and Filipino attendants offered meals to monks.

After the meal offering, three Filipinos who had their lives changed after practicing meditation and Universal Goodness Principles shared their experiences and impression of their participation at MMI-Iloilo.

Thais and Filipinos who were listening to the impressive stories from the three locals felt overjoyed as they had an important part in supporting the construction of the meditation center to accommodate a great number of meritorious locals who will be coming to MMI-Iloilo to discover inner brightness and live their lives according to the principles of Universal Goodness.
