On July 15, 2016, Bangladeshi medias reported Most Ven. Phravitesdhammabhorn, the director of the department of Foreign Affairs of the Dhammakaya Temple, on behalf of the Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni, offered basic necessities and donations to 102 temples in Chittagong, Bangladesh. His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch Most Ven. Dr. Dharmasen was the president of the Sangharaja sect, and the Vice Ecclesiastical Prime Minister Gyanasiree, was the president of the Mahanikaya sect. This activity shows the unity amongst the Buddhist in Thailand and Bangladesh and also attracting many people to come make merit by offering basic necessities and donations to representative monks from over 100 temples. Consider this ceremony an important act of merit making before entering the Buddhist lent for this year.
