On Sunday February 5, 2017 the Thai Buddhist Meditation Center in Tokyo arranged meditation class and taught dharma in Japanese on the topic of “The Morning Alms Round” by Ven. Thanawut Tissaro.
The teaching monk told them about the importance of the morning alms round. A monk takes his alms bowl to receive alms along villages or have breakfast at a resident’s house every morning because of the monastic discipline. The teaching monk also taught the correct way to offer alms in the morning alms round. After that, the teaching monk led them to meditate. They gradually placed their minds at the center of the body and purified it together for 30 minutes.
Finally, they had Dharma Talk before going back home.
