Japanese queuing for meditation class at Yoyogi Park

The 19th Thai Festival at Yoyogi Park in Japan held on 17th – 18th May 2014. In this occasion, Dhammakaya centers in Japan had organized meditation booth for two days. We received popularity from the Japanese as our booth had always closed after the others because there were still a lot of people queuing for meditation sessions. There was a ten minutes-guided-meditation at each session. It was the historic picture of the Japanese queuing for meditation ranging from kids, teenagers, Japanese monks and the elders. In some sessions, meditation seats were insufficient, though we added extra cushions thus, seating spaces was tight that they could not sit in a half-lotus position. Nevertheless they determined to join the class and sat holding their knees up. In total, we taught meditation for more than 600 people in two days. The Ambassador of Thailand to Tokyo and his wife have visited our booth and were impressed with the outcome. Hence they invited the monks to the embassy as they have arranged about 30 locals to join the meditation class. We would like to share our merit to all friends.
