Wat Phra Dhammakaya Yamanashi arranged a meditation and cultural exchange on Sunday August 13, 2017. The cultural exchange was teaching Thai food, which interested the locals very much. There were 9 participants.
The teaching monk was Phra Sukit Thitakijjo and he kindly taught 40 ways of meditation episode 2 which was dharma from contemplating on a corpse and how to apply it to preliminarily still the mind.
After that the attendants tried the meditation together for 30 minutes and they all experienced happiness from stilling their minds. After the meditation session, it was the time for the cooking activity. The menu included Laap Moo (spicy and sour minced pork) and Laap Hed (spicy and sour minced mushroom) for the vegetarians. All of them joined this happy activity and humbly offered their cooking to the teaching monks. After they received the monks’ blessings, they enjoyed their food together.
