Buddhism has now become an influential world religion outside its birthplace in India. Wat Phra Dhammakaya Bavaria, Germany recently organized a BUDDHIST ACADEMIC SEMINAR on Wednesday 11th October 2017 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The purpose of organizing this event was to spread peace and knowledge of Buddhism to the participants from Folk high school in Augsburg.
While Ms. Sarod Sawadee was the host, the seminar was led by two notable guest speakers, Ms. Kuntikhan Hadsatyecha and Phra Somkiat Kitthikhunyo. Ms. Kuntikhan Hadsatyecha presided over the Lord Buddha’s teaching on eightfold paths and gave a brief introduction to Mahayana Buddhism.
She also highlighted the Dhammakaya foundation’s goal to disseminate world peace through inner peace to people throughout the world.
Phra Somkiat Kitthikhunyo explained the roles, responsibilities, and lifestyle of the Buddhist monks. He guided everyone to meditate and ended the event with spreading loving kindness .
