We do not know when we will live or when we will die. Death gives no prior warning; no one can say for certain when their time will come. We do not know where we will die—whether at home, in a hospital, or on the street. There is no omen to tell us what ailment or cause will take us.
What we do know for certain, however, is that we must all eventually face death. Therefore, before that moment arrives, we must live in such a way that we cannot find any fault in ourselves by developing virtue and correcting one’s faults to the fullest.
