If one wishes to raise a gem of a child, one must establish standards of cleanliness from the time the child is still an infant lying in the cradle. Remember this well: the reason children do not turn out well is that the standards of cleanliness and order established from infancy were insufficient. It begins right here.
The foundational standard for a person — remember this — lies in training them to be accustomed to cleanliness. Yet cleanliness alone is not enough; things must also be arranged in an orderly manner, so that the child is accustomed to seeing this from the very time they lie in the cradle. If cleanliness and order are absent, the child’s mind will become easily clouded from an early age. It begins right here.
Once a child’s mind has become habitually clouded, it will grow callous; creative thinking will be absent; and the child will become unruly — acting without regard for whether things may break or whether others may be caused distress. Bullying other children becomes acceptable; throwing and smashing objects becomes acceptable.
But if cleanliness is not taken lightly, and everything is kept well-ordered, such children will be well-mannered from an early age.
