Weekly Meditation Sessions of Wat Phra Dhammakaya Dunedin

On 12 April 2026, Venerable Phrakhrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of Communication Department and assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya said that Wat Phra Dhammakaya Dunedin in New Zealand regularly hosts weekly meditation sessions every Thursday & Friday during 6.00-7.00 pm, which attract local residents and those seeking mental development.

This activity is the meditation practice to build inner peace and to promote the better mental wellness. According to the Dhammakaya meditation of the Great Master Phramongkolthepmuni (Sodh Cantasaro), the meditators still their mind at the body center with mindfulness and relaxation and repeat the mantra “Samma Arahang” to keep the mind conscious and concentrated continuously and to reduce a wondering mind.

Wat Phra Dhammakaya Dunedin is a branch of Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Thailand. The temple focuses on the meditation practice and the Buddhist activities like the offering of the monks’ necessities and the preaching. It also broadcasts the DMC channel to promote the concept “World Peace through Inner Peace” via the meditation practice.
