On June 11, 2016, Ms. Piyoros and Mr. Coen en Aswin Van de Vin invited 5 monks from Wat Phra Dhammakaya Benelux to be the field of merit in their meritorious housewarming event in Eersel, the Netherlands. They also invited over 40 people, a combination of Thai and Dutch people, to this meritorious event. In the morning, the event started with the crowd chanting Itipiso, Pahung and Dhammacakkappawattanasutra verses. Everybody chanted altogether, even the locals closed their eyes and listened to the prayers respectfully until the end, which showed their respect towards Buddhism and their interest in learning the Buddhist culture. After that, they offered food to the monks and had lunch together. After lunch, Ven. Sander Khemadhammo delivered some Dhamma sermons to the locals and led them to meditate together. The atmosphere was filled with delight and elation from the hosts and the locals who listened to the sermons. The homeowners, Ms. Piyoros and Mr. Coen, both study and learn Dhamma on a regular basis and constantly invite their local friends to go to the temple to listen to Dhamma sermons. This is a good sign that Buddhism will become prosperous in a foreign country for certainty.
