The Ceremony of Offering Meal to Monks
The Lord Buddha taught in the Kindada Sutta that the donors who give meal are the energy providers, so we should not overlook the merit of offering meal as Sangha Dana. The Lord Buddha taught kings were the leaders of people, oceans were the leaders of rivers, the moon shines brighter than other stars in the sky, the sun is better than other heat sources, and the Lord Buddha’s monks are the best merit fields for donors who want to make merit. Monks are the good fertilized merit fields of the world which we should take a lot of merit. So, please come together to be donors who offer meal to over 3,500 monks and novices of Dhammakaya Temple and our branches.
Fruits of offering meal to monks and novices
Luang Pu kindly told us that if you make this kind of merit, you will get huge merit because monks are the good fertilized merit field and are the best merit fields for those who want to make merit. If you want to get more merit, you should offer your alms as Sangha Dana, not specify the receivers, and make your mind neutral.
If millions of you come, I would like to feed you all and moreover…
If you are my followers and want to make big merit with me
If hundreds of you come, I would like you to do as the owners of the temple
If millions of you come, I would like you to do as the owners of the temple
The Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong, the founder of Dhammakaya Temple
