Wat Phra Dhammakaya Arranged the Ceremonies of
Offering Sustenanceto the Lord Buddha
and Magha Puja Day
Magha Puja Day 2014 at Wat Phra Dhammakaya
Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Pathum Thani province arranged the Ceremonies of Offering Sustenanceto the Lord Buddha and Magha Puja Day on 14th Febury 2014. Mass people participated in this event.
In the morning, Phrakrupalad Pubeth Janapinyo, Abbot Assistant of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, was the Monastic President. He led the congregation to meditate and performed the Ceremony of Offering Sustenanceto the Lord Buddha. After that it was the Ceremony of Offering Gold to Cast the Gold Image of the Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong. Then, they did the Ceremony of Offering Meals to monks.
In the afternoon, The 32nd World Peace Ethics Contest Royal Shield Awards and the 8th World Peace Ethics Vachara Honorable Shield Awards were held and the Most Ven. Phrarajbhavanajarn, Vice Abbot, kindly was the Monastic President. Then, Phrarajbhavanajarn was the representative of the Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni, Abbot, to receive the Honorable Shield from University of Otago and the World Buddhist Outstanding Leader Award from the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY).
In the evening, the Ceremony of Lighting Magha Lanterns was arranged at the Grand Meditation Square. The Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni was the Monastic President and led the congregation to meditate and perform the meritorious ceremony. Mass Buddhists participated in this ceremony.
