Wat Phra Dhammakaya Gunma, Japan, arranged a meditation retreat for locals during June 17 – 19, 2016 (3 days and 2 nights) with 8 meditation sessions. There were 4 Japanese people participating in this retreat and 3 of them had been ordained in the recent Japanese Dhammadayada Ordination program.
All participants prayed, did Morning Chanting, exercised, offered meals to the monks, had Thai food, meditated, listened to dharma and prayed the Evening Chanting together.
Each of them had good meditation experiences; they reached the peaceful feeling and were able to still their minds, which made them feel happiness from the meditation. All of them more understand the dharma principles and will continue meditation at home as well as going to meditate at the Japanese meditation centers in the future.
After that program, they know what the goal of life is and they love meditation. So they were interested to meditate again at the Japanese Meditation Village under the instruction of Phra Maha Dr. Chattapong Katapunyo and Phra Maha Somkiat Punyatejo.
