On 2 March 2026, Venerable Phrakhrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of Communication department, Wat Phra Dhammakaya related that amid the global conflicts and pressure, seeking inner peace becomes an alternative for many people. Recently, Wat Phra Dhammakaya held a meditation course for Australians in Hampton, Victoria. Its objective is to still the mind of meditators after facing pressure and uncertainty in daily life. The attendees will learn how to release pressure, cultivate a concentrated mind and develop emotional stability and consciousness by stilling their mind at the body center.
Venerable Phrakhrubhavanayanvithes, abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya Melbourne, presided over the meditation course for 17 participants. This course had 2 sessions and the teaching monks also taught Dhamma in order that the attendees would apply the Buddha’s teachings in their real life.
As more foreigners pay attention to meditation, this trend reflects that people today are seeking a new choice to relieve the same sufferings. Therefore, the meditation practice becomes a tool for healing one’s mind and Wat Phra Dhammakaya Melbourne holds a meditation course every Saturday as an option for the locals to deal with their stress or distress.
