Wat Phra Dhammakaya arranges a chanting ceremony, marking the seventh day of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s passing

Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the late Queen Mother passed away peacefully at the age of 93 due to the bloodstream infection on 24 October 2025 by 9.21 pm. As requested by the Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand for all Thai Buddhist temples within and outside Thailand, Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation, together with monastic community of Khlong Luang district and the organization network of Ba-Vorn (Home-Temple-School), held a chanting ceremony of the seventh day of the late Queen Mother’s passing on 30 October 2025 by 4.30 pm at Plooksattha 2 building, Wat Phra Dhammakaya. The monastic chairman was Most Venerable Phrakhruvijit Ar-Pha-Korn, ecclesiastical chief of Khlong Luang district and the laypeople chairman was District Chief of Khlong Luang Apisra Ket-In. The event was attended by local residents of Khlong Luang district, government officials and disciples of Wat Phra Dhammakaya.

On the same day at 3.30 pm, there was an opening ceremony of venue to sign a condolence book for the public in remembrance of the late Queen Mother’s contributions and compassion at Press Center of Wat Phra Dhammakaya. The temple provided support of facilities and food & drinks for all attendants and is open to the public for signing the condolence book daily during 9 am – 4 pm.

The late Queen Mother is revered for her lifelong devotion to the welfare of Thai people. She dedicated herself to rural area development and the preservation of traditional Thai arts and crafts.
