
On 20 October 2024, at Press Center of Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Pathum Thani province, Venerable Phrakhruviboolnitidham, assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and chairman of Public Assistant Section of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, handed 1,300 sets of ready-to-eat food, bread and drinks and another 500 sets of hot/cold drinks and bread to Pol.Maj.Gen. Jakpetch Petchploynil, Commander of the Border Patrol Police Region 1 and his group. Additionally, Ms. Apisra Ket-In, district chief of Khlong Luang, Ms. Boonchan Bor-Thai, a committee member of Dhammakaya Foundation and Mr. Ong-Ard Not Dhamma-Nitra, a representative of Wat Phra Dhammakaya’s disciples and a committee member of Public Assistance Section of Wat Phra Dhammakaya also witnessed this event.
The objective of this food offering is to support border patrol police and volunteers to prepare the 4-day event to commemorate Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother at her monument on occasion of her birth anniversary on 21 October 2025 at the office of Border Patrol Police Region 1 at Khlong 5 subdistrict, Khlong Luang district, Pathum Thani.
The Princess Mother contributed greatly to the border patrol police and became the patron of Border Patrol Police Sector. Moreover, she had concern on the living of teachers and students in remoted border areas. Then she initiated “Border Patrol Police School”, which helped promote the better education of children and the better quality of life. This project resulted in the cooperation of government and private sectors and religious organizations.
This food support is a part of public assistance of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation. Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation realize the sacrifice and devotion of border patrol police to protect the country and would like to express the gratitude to the Princess Mother who contributed greatly to Thailand.
