On Friday May 20, 2016 the Dhammakaya Meditation Center of Penang, Malaysia, held the Ceremonies of Commemorating the Buddha’s Kindness at a big hall on the 4th floor of Suntech Tower. There were many meritorious activity zones such as the zone of watering the Buddha images, worshipping the Buddha with lotus, offering saffron robes, lighting lanterns to worship the Buddha, gilding the Buddha image, and there was a booth to exhibit the Lord Buddha’s history.
These activities interested hundreds of Malaysian people where many laypeople joined in this event all day. Besides these activities, participants also got to take part in ceremonies such as the Ceremony of Chanting the Buddha’s Mantras and Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta, the Ceremony of Giving a Sermon on the Buddha’s history, the ceremony of lighting lanterns and circumambulating to worship the Buddha. All participants and visitors were impressed with the activities and ceremonies and felt full of merit.
