The regional media in Belguim reported that an international mass ordination of 41 people who came from different countries in Europe was organized in Wat Phra Dhammakaya Benelux, a Buddhist temple located in Lede, Belgium. This temple has been organized a mass ordination like this annually since 2012. This year, Most Ven. Phravitesbhavanadham: Viroj Virojano was the monastic president of the ceremony.
…Mr. Piyapak Sricharoen, Minister-Counselor of the Royal Thai Embassy, gave an interview to medias that this activity was an important part of the Thai community in Belgium and Wat Phra Dhammakaya Benelux was one of the 4 temples in Belgium.
…Other than that, the reporters also interviewed Ven. Ruben Visalo, a monk of Wat Phra Dhammakaya Benelux, who mentioned about the importance of ordination. He stated that “Most people in the world only care about daily survival and have no clue about the origin of true happiness and actually, true happiness arises from just a simple life.”
…Also, Mr. Roland Uyttendaele, the sheriff of Lede, shared his pleasant feelings about the activity through an interview by stating that “Wat Phra Dhammakaya Benelux usually manages activities that are seen in medias and we consecutively contact each other and I strongly support this temple’s activities.”
