The World’s First “5D Buddhist Exhibition”

The International Buddhist Association presents the world’s first “5D Buddhist Exhibition,”

7th – 14th December 2014

The International Buddhist Association (under the patronage of His Holiness Somdet Phramaharatchamangkhalachan), organizer of the World Morality Revival Project or Virtuous Star (V-Star), is coordinating with Wat Phra Dhammakaya to organize the 9th V-Star Unity Day: Assembly of Virtuous Youths on Saturday, 13th December 2014. On this day, there will be the opening of the 5D Buddhist Exhibition and 3D movie: The Miraculous Day as a way to instill morality in our youth. The V-Star Youth will also participate in other social activities and learn Buddhist concept of Right View using today’s latest technology. In addition, the youths’ awareness on reserving energy and environment through the connection of home, temple and school. The exhibition and 3D Movie will take place from 7th – 14th December 2014 at Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Pathum Thani Province.

Mr. Santi Rungsukpalakorn, President of the International Buddhist Association, states that on V-Star Unity Day on Saturday, 13th December, there will be more than 5,000 schools from throughout Thailand and the world, including the Philippines, Nepal, Mongolia, Malaysia and Myanmar, participating in this event. They will take part in Buddhist activities such as chanting, meditating, listening to Dhamma teaching and answering Dhamma questions. On this day, 100,000 scholarships worth over 30 million baht will be awarded to virtuous youth in order to recognize, honor and encourage them. These students have been diligently practicing the 5 Universal Goodness, which emphasizes cleanliness, orderliness, politeness, punctuality and meditation.

Moreover, Mr. Santi also indicated that 2,232 schools have participated in the Kathina Offering Ceremony at 2,674 temples throughout Thailand from 2008 – 2013.

Mr. Makorn Chaovanich, V-Star Exhibition Project Advisor, added that the ‘Secrets of Life Exhibition’ is the world’s first Buddhist Exhibition using 5D technology. There is also a 3D Dhamma movie: The Miraculous Day; a story about the mysterious realm of Naga located underneath Khong River. The exhibition covers an area of 13,800 square meters and is divided into three zones: 1) Demerit Zone; 2) Merit Zone; and 3) Meditation Zone. There are 10 theaters that can each accommodate up to 500 people. The 3D movie is 30 minutes and will be opened to the public from 7th – 14th December, at Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Pathum Thani Province.
