
On 12-13 April 2025, Thai and Japanese laypeople jointly organized religious ceremonies as follows:
- The opening ceremony of Wat Phra Dhammakaya-Nagano
- The enshrinement ceremony of quartz boundary marker of the chapel at Wat Phra Dhammakaya-Toshigi
- The opening ceremony of “Meditation Village” and the ceremony of laying metal plates and spreading precious stones in order to establish a pagoda of Dhammakaya International Meditation Center-Tochigi
Venerable Phraratvitheswachiramethee, assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, was the monastic chairman and Mr. Paisan Taweechaithavorn and Ms. Saovanee Hiranyasiri were laypeople chairpersons. These events were attended by a large number of Thai and Japanese laypeople.
Venerable Phrakhrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of Communication Department, Wat Phra Dhammakaya, related that the ceremonies of 3 Thai temples were organized with the coordination of Wat Phra Dhammakaya’s Thai and Japanese devotees in honor of the 81st anniversary of Luang Por Dhammajayo on Earth Day 2025. The merit from these religious ceremonies was dedicated to the deceased due to the massive earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand.
