On 16 March 2025, more than 1,000 monks and 1,500 laypeople joined the procession of Buddha relic, going along the main street of 2.6 kilometre distance in Pattani province. The Buddha relic will be enshrined in “Pathum Chedi” or a lotus-shaped stupa, built to commemorate the five enlightened beings as Buddha in the “Bhadrakalpa” period or auspicious eon when the earth emerges, exists and ends in the same eon. “Pathum Chedi” is located at Pattani’s Youth Training Center in Nong Chik district.
