On 4 December 2025, Venerable Phrakhrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of Communication Department related that Wat Phra Dhammakaya invited all laypeople to join the overnight chanting for the year end of 2025 to welcome the New Year 2026 on 31 December 2025 at 20.30 pm. The overnight chanting and Dhammacaka chanting with the target to achieve 8,000 million chanting rounds will be arranged during 23.00 pm-00.30 am in order to accumulate merit for the auspicious New Year at the Meditation Stadium of Wat Phra Dhammakaya. On 1 January 2025, by 6.20 am, there is an alms offering to over 3,000 monks of Mass Ordination Program in honor of the Great Master at the grounds of Maha Dhammakaya Cetiya.
“The overnight chanting is organized by Venerable Phrakhrupaladrattanaveerawat, abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya according to the policy of Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand. Besides the overnight chanting and the almsgiving for the New Year 2026, the temple is open to the public for the garden visit (free of charge) during 13 December 2025- 25 January 2026. There are 3 types of flowering plants; red periwinkle, purple chrysanthemum and pink zinnia. All flowers will be cut and used for Dhammayatra project (the monks’ pilgrimage) in honor of the Great Master, namely Phramongkolthepmuni (Sodh Cantasaro) or the Mara Vanquisher during 2-31 January 2026. The Dhammayatra procession will go along the route of 7 memorial places of the Great Master and it is the 14th year that this project has been continuously proceeded.
